UAQ Crown Prince Reviews Updates Of ’Model For Development Of Government Work Project’ (28 June 2018)

H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Qaiwain and Chairman of the Executive Council, reviewed the updates of the''Model for Development of Government Work Project in the Emirate'',which is being implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs and the Future.

He reviewed the project during a meeting at the Executive Council’s headquarters with the project team, with the attendance of Sheikh Ahmed bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of Umm Al Qaiwain, and Humaid Rashid Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Executive Council.

Sheikh Rashid praised the efforts of various teams from government authorities and valued their support for their employees, which achieved overall results while highlighting the necessity of intensifying their efforts to realise the goals of the project and the Umm Al Qaiwain Vision 2021.

Sheikh Rashid also praised the efforts of the Government Accelerators team to reduce the time period for issuing construction licences by the Umm Al Qaiwain Municipality from 45 to five business days, which will help achieve the Umm Al Qaiwain Vision 2021.

He listened to a presentation by the project team on the current developments in realising the emirate’s vision, updating several government services, and promoting innovation among local government authorities, as well as on the updates of the "Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla Programme for Government Leaders." Sheikh Rashid is monitoring the programme’s efforts to create new categories of excellence and government performance.

Sheikh Rashid directed the "Government Performance and Excellence Department" to monitor performance indicators related to the strategies of the Umm Al Qaiwain government, as well as to implement plans, initiatives and programmes to achieve the targets of each indicator by 2021.
